About 70 cm
On 70 cm (432 MHz), most long-distance contacts come from tropospheric propagation: normal tropo up to a few hundred kilometres and ducting during stable high pressure, sometimes well beyond 1000 km. Aircraft scatter and EME are popular for DX, and contests bring the most activity.
Narrow-band activity is around 432.0–432.4 MHz: CW near 432.050 MHz, SSB calling at 432.200 MHz. A sked with agreed frequency, time and beam heading makes weak-signal contacts much more likely.
